Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Automation & Release Engineer for managing and automating the build and release processes for our enterprise software products. The Automation Engineer will coordinate with multiple teams including development, QA, and operations to ensure effective release planning and execution. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in Scripting, Automation, CI/CD methodologies, version control and multi cloud-based deployments.

  • Manage and maintain build servers and environments.
  • Plan and coordinate release activities with development, QA, and operations teams.
  • Stakeholder communication with Product, Engineering & CS teams.
  • Ensure smooth and timely delivery of software releases.
  • Develop and maintain release notes and documentation.
  • Implement and manage source control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Ensure proper version control and branching strategies are followed.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.
  • Monitor and improve pipeline efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate CI/CD best practices.
This role is based out of our Palo Alto, CA office, and an Onsite interview is required as part of the process.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in release management for SaaS products.
  • Strong knowledge of build management and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI).
  • Proficiency in configuration management and source control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Travis CI, CircleCI, or similar tools.
  • Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Startup experience
  • Experience with SaaS Enterprise Software Products
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
