Title: Senior Windows System Administrator Location: Warrendale (Hybrid - 3 days in office) Duration: 6 months Responsibilities: Install, configure, and administer Exchange software within a multi-client/server environment (15%). Perform Break/Fix recovery methodologies (10%). Establish and administer security measures (10%). Monitor and optimize system performance (15%). Collaborate with application teams to provide input and oversight for logical and physical design (5%). Understand application use of associated technologies (5%). Plan and implement disaster recovery strategies (5%). Conduct long-term strategic planning for growth, upgrades, and migrations (5%). Participate in the research, evaluation, and purchase of future platforms (5%). Stay updated with major cloud vendors' service offerings (5%). Implement and administer cloud platform solutions using automation, scripting, and infrastructure as code within cross-functional teams (15%). Miscellaneous tasks (5%). Required Skills: Strong background in Windows system administration and experience in information technology. Knowledge of Windows Security for vulnerability remediation. Strong troubleshooting skills for daily operational tasks. Adaptable, collaborative, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Windows Server 2019 and 2022. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot system issues. Proficiency in establishing and administering change control procedures. Installation, configuration, and administration of operating systems, mail systems, peripheral devices, and networking protocols. System administration tasks including security, user management, and file permissions. Collaboration with Information Security for vulnerability reviews and remediation. Performance monitoring and resolution of system performance issues. Task automation including batch processing and scheduling. Coordinated planning with application teams for upgrades and migrations. Availability for off-hours support as needed. Cooperative attitude and effective interpersonal skills with clients, coworkers, and vendors. Ability to provide backfill support for primary Windows Administrators as required.
