Summer Event Associate

Stonehill's Conference & Event Services Department hosts external guests on campus over the summer. Our student staff plays an integral role in ensuring that our clients receive excellent service during their stay on campus. Student Event Associates will be in constant communication with group coordinators to discuss event details and communicate them to support staff departments (Food Services, Facilities Management, Campus Police, Information Technology, etc.) Student Event Associates will plan and execute event details, check on event venues throughout the day, and provide supervision to groups on campus.
Job Requirements
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Plan and confirm group/program event details and logistics.
* Attend all events for assigned groups/programs; Be visible to the guests at all times, and provide excellent customer service and support.
* Responsible for handling last minute requests, and providing logistical support to programs and guests.
* Present weekly event planning documents to Stonehill's support staff departments.
* Communicate daily via phone, email and in person with clients.
Qualifications:
* Able to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
* The ability to react decisively, and with good judgment to problems.
* Must have endurance, be energetic, and great customer service skills.
* Knowledge of MS Office Suite Programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
* Capable of efficiently communicating with support staff, and other student event managers.
* General filing and organizational skills.
* Previous customer service experience preferred.
* Professional attire required.
