Cloudco Entertainment, formerly American Greetings Entertainment, is the creator and/or owner of iconic entertainment brands such as Care BearsTM, Holly HobbieTM, MadballsTM, Disneys Pretty Freekin ScaryTM, Twisted WhiskersTM, Overlord & The UnderwoodsTM, Boy Girl Dog Cat Mouse CheeseTM, The Getalong GangTM, and others. Cloudco Entertainment develops multi-platform entertainment franchises across all media channels and extensive consumer merchandising programs that immerse children and adults in brands they love.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Retail Development Manager works closely with retail buyers and licensees to communicate and execute the retail strategy for Cloudco Entertainment brands. This role will identify new business opportunities to grow Cloudco Entertainments portfolio of licensing partners, categories and retail outlets. The RD Manager will help to position Cloudco Entertainment brands for optimal brand exposure at retail by engaging with and pitching cross-category buyers. In addition, this position will develop, pitch and execute retail marketing promotions in support of branded in-storeand digital programs. The Retail Development Manager will report to the VP of Retail Development while collaborating in a fast paced environment with our internal Creative, Licensing and Marketing teams.

LOCATION: This position is structured as a workplace hybrid arrangement in our Sherman Oaks/Los Angeles office, allowing employees to work both in the office and remotely to promote work-life balance aligned with Cloudco Entertainments policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

RETAIL SALES:

Lead buyer/retailer outreach for designated accounts set by VP of Retail Development

  • Identify white space opportunities for both retailers and licensed categories to increase brand exposure and revenue
  • Update buyers and licensees on key brand initiatives, retail successes and marketing programs
  • Analyze and share sell in and sell thru information with internal teams
  • Provide buyers with retailer specific promotional marketing and recaps
  • Maintaining an ongoing analysis of the competitive landscape
  • Identify and track to retail development KPIs

RETAIL SALES TOOLS:

  • Create and deliver retail tools to educate licensees and retail buyers on CloudCo Brands: brand one pagers, retailer specific decks, newsletters etc.
  • Conduct monthly retail store checks and present findings to creative, licensing and marketing groups
  • Own and update retail buyer database
  • Create and maintain image library of fashion placement, retailer programs, exclusives

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education: BA/BS or similar degree or commensurate experience

Required Length & Type of Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience as pitching brands to licensees and retail buyers
  • 3-5 years of specialty retail experience with young adult brands

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Professional mastery of developing and presenting franchise/brand strategies and retail focused presentations
  • Strong understanding of retail landscape and emerging trends
  • Must have advanced skills/knowledge creative- powerpoint, keynote, canva, photoshop, adobe
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines
  • Great customer service orientation and account management skills professional, resourceful, pro-active, and helpful
