What's it like to work at "APDO"

As the first point of contact for our patients and their families, the Orthodontic Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere while efficiently managing administrative tasks. Your professionalism, exceptional customer service skills, and attention to detail will be vital in upholding our reputation for high-end orthodontic care.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Appointment Scheduling: Manage the appointment calendar, schedule consultations, and follow-up appointments with precision, adapting to unique needs or requests of patients or parents.
  • Patient Education: Provide basic information about orthodontic treatments and procedures, as well as triaging orthodontic issues or emergencies via phone
  • Communication: Positively engage with patients, families, and team members in person, over the phone, and through email and text to address inquiries, concerns, and scheduling needs.
  • Patient Records: Maintain accurate patient records, including updating personal and insurance information, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve patient concerns or issues in a professional and empathetic manner.

Compensation Package:

In addition to an hourly rate, we included the following benefits in our compensation package for those working 30 hours or more:

Requirements

No Orthodontic experience? No problem

We provide on-the-job training for all the skills needed (i.e., orthodontic terminology, triaging emergencies, etc.)
  • Previous experience in a medical or dental coordinator role preferred but not required
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using or learning office software and scheduling systems.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
