Objective: Build a profitable book of business through networking channels of the supply chain. The main responsibilities will include, building relationships with carriers and prospects, establishing potential opportunities in their network, and facilitating all freight operations.

Daily tasks include:

  • Sales

Industry/ market knowledge.

Learning sales tactics

Rapport building

Using customer supply chain issues to form potential solutions

  • TMS (truck management system) and Excel

Building rate cons, carrier setup, PU/DEL appointments, and providing hourly/daily updates to customers.

Building/managing a prospect list

  • Carrier Relations

Proficient setup in PCS

Load negotiations

Establishing a network of carriers

  • Billing and organization

Proof of delivery submitted, upkeep of loads moving/delivery. Pushing loads through PCS.

  • Communication

Personality

Constant communication with drivers, dispatchers, customers, and team members.

Working with different cultures/backgrounds.

  • Organization and Strategic planning

Proficient in establishing carriers out of a specific market.

Basic knowledge of trucking operations

Organizing weekly and daily load planning

Create working relationships with carriers/ customer reps.

  • Articulate and well accustomed to a client facing role
