Position Summary:
Administers and provides functional support for all areas of Human Resources, including but not limited to policy administration, benefits administration, employee relations, training, HRIS maintenance, recruitment, compensation, onboarding, legal compliance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides day to day support and guidance to functional leaders on management, coaching, career development, disciplinary actions and employee relations
- Assists in recruitment efforts including interviewing internal and external candidates
- Conducts orientation and onboarding of new employees
- Works closely with functional leaders on merit process, succession planning, identifying top talent
- Conducts employee investigations; responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints and harassment allegations
- Conducts training including: performance goal setting, merit process, year- end performance reviews
- Administers leaves of absence, FMLA/STD/LTD, Workers Compensation to include documentation, reporting to third party, pay and communication to employee/manager
- Administers various human resource policies, procedures and programs
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation; conducts exit interviews
- Maintains human resources records including new hires, transfers, terminations, job changes, salary adjustments, etc.
- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to ensure continuous improvement
- Manages Visa/PERM process for internal employees and new hires
- Responds to employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, recruiting, compensation, and all other HR disciplines. Partners with HR subject matter experts to effectively answer and resolve all complex inquiries
- Functions as TS16949 representative for headquarters to ensure compliance with all quality standards; assists in revision of procedures and forms as required; conducts internal audits
- Responds to unemployment inquiries
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description
- Four (4) year college or university degree or equivalent, in Human Resources, Business Management or related field required
- 3-5 years of related experience
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Human Resources, policy interpretations and legal requirements
- Able to compile information and analyze data
- Must possess a high level of problem solving skills
- Must be able to communicate effectively and exercise judgement in disclosing or withholding confidential information
- Possess high energy, process orientation and superior multitasking skills
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels within as well as outside the Company
- High level experience with Microsoft Office Applications; Workday application experience a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary
- Professional Office Environment
- Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor
- Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required
- Equipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injury
