Responsible for answering calls for the Behavioral Health Access Center and associated tasks which include information collection related to site, level of care and presenting problem, registration, and scheduling. May also participate in some Insurance-related tasks including but not limited to verification, collection of co-payments, and collection of associated paperwork. + Provides confidential customer service by responding to callers looking for behavioral health services in an empathetic and compassionate manner. + Conducts phone screening of caller to triages for clinical appropriateness, level of care and location of service in order to provide the right care at the right location. + Schedules callers for requested outpatient behavioral health service if clinically appropriate + Documents responses to clinical triage questions in patient’s electronic medical record + Provides referral information or other resources if services are not available through Atlantic Behavioral Health. + Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant. College degree required. Experience working in Behavioral Health recommended. MS Office proficiency. Customer Service Experience ADDITIONAL KSAR (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, RESPONSIBILITIES) LEVEL SPECIFIC LEVEL I –0-3 years of prior experience – HS Diploma or equivalent. Works under the supervision of more experienced lab/diagnostic staff and/or patient-facing staff. Makes decisions regarding own work, often limited, and confined to routine matters. No leadership responsibility LEVEL II – 3-5 years of prior experience – HS Diploma or equivalent. Specific Certification related to position or associate degree/Technical Degree in related field. All licenses and certifications needed to fulfill the duties required. Performs moderately complex clinical activities and/or leads patient care activities. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, frequently in ambiguous situations. Work is guided by previous experience, quality and service standards, and direction from clinician. Regularly models/mentors and trains junior staff on technical skills. Serves as technical specialist on daily tasks and cases. LEVEL III – 5+ years of prior experience – All licenses and certifications needed to fulfill the duties required of a technician at the state (s) and/or national level. Works on problems of diverse scope and advanced complexity. Exercises independent judgement on moderately to substantially complex cases. Requires little instruction on day-to-day work and general direction on more complex tasks and projects. Regularly trains staff on technical skills. LEAD – Specific Certification related to position or associate degree/Technical Degree in related field. All licenses and certifications needed to fulfill the duties required of a technician at the state (s) and/or national level. Top expert and functional mentor; possesses the most advanced knowledge of the function/family and department. Makes decisions regarding daily priorities for a work group; provides guidance to and/or assists staff on non-routine or escalated issues. Collaborates with Management in the development and validation of methods, techniques, and analytical approach. Serves as a model/mentor for team Members on technical skills.
