Position Description Job Title: Associate Director, Recruitment Location: New York, NY Reports to: Chief People Officer Position Summary: IAVI is seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidate to fill the role of the Associate Director in the Human Resources Department. IAVI is growing in size and in operational complexity globally to support the expanded mission and workstreams. We are seeking a strategic and creative individual who can function more than a standard recruiter. An ideal candidate would have a seasoned HR generalist and/or HRBP experience but have expertise in high-volume recruitment who can bring innovation to the recruitment functions. This position provides an opportunity for a creative thinker to make an impact in talent acquisition and elevating recruitment practices organization-wide. Key Responsibilities: Partner with hiring managers, business leaders, and key stakeholders to understand talent needs and provide advice on the best ways to move the open positions. Oversee and generate HR related documents in recruitment, such as job descriptions, employment contracts, etc. and ensure quality control. Ensure that job descriptions are aligned organizationally in terms of responsibility levels, qualifications and skills. Become a deep subject matter expert within the business partner group and manage full cycle recruitment process. Embed sound HR skills and knowledge into the recruitment function. Develop and execute sourcing plans to identify and recruit top talent, owning the candidate development process from identification and engagement to offer extension and onboarding. Analyze recruitment trends, workforce, KPIs, and provide regular reports. Review the existing recruitment processes and constantly improve on the quality and efficiencies. Increase IAVI's branding and foster relationships with Universities and institutions in order to develop a candidate pipeline through sourcing and networking techniques. Develop/improve programs such as classification training for managers, consultancy review, internships, etc. Manage relationships with 3rd party service providers as assigned (agencies, advertising, background verification etc.) Lead special projects, such as the implementation of the recruitment module of HRIS. Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager. Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is required. 10 years of experience in a HR generalist or HR business partner capacity in an international setting is required. 8 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment is required. Experience working in the Pharmaceutical / Biotech Industry is highly desirable. Qualifications and Skills: Thorough understanding of the basic HR skills and knowledge is required. Expert drafting and editing skills for basic HR documents (job description, posting, contracts) is required. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills are required. Experience with international HR management, including international recruitment is required. Experience with high volume recruiting experience is required. Excellent judgment and analytical skills are required. Excellent organizational and detail orientation skills are required. Experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter and other venues for sourcing and networking is required. Proficiency with MS Office Products is required. Experience in drafting consultancy SOWs and contracts is highly desirable. Good understanding of the employment contracts in different countries is highly desirable. Experience implementing an HRIS or a recruitment module is desirable.
