Inside Counter Sales

At Four Corners Building Supply we are looking for people who want to bring their passion and expertise to help our rapidly growing business. Our formula is simple, take exceptional care of our employees and they will take exceptional care of our customers.
Job Summary: Provide excellent customer service to meet the needs of walk-in customers and visitors. Responsibilities we'll trust you with:
- Serve as a first point of contact for walk-in visitors and customers.
- Promptly answer customer inquiries in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner
- Manage all counter activities such as answering inbound calls and following up with customers by phone or email as needed.
- Using a forklift to assist customers with loading and unloading their trucks.
- Assist in inventory management in the showroom.
- Collaborate closely with the warehouse team to provide timely service to customers.
- Forward new opportunities to the appropriate sales team for further development and closing.
- Purchasing, maintaining and merchandising store inventory.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1-3 years of counter sales experience with a lumber yard or similar business
- Proven ability to provide consistent, professional customer service.
- Problem-solving skills: listening to, interpreting, and meeting the needs of others; diagnosing and rectifying problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, priorities, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work productively in teams with a wide range of people.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Frequent carrying and lifting - Must be able to lift 80+ pounds
- Frequently standing for long periods of time
