The Human Resource Generalist will lead the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee communications/relations, documentation of company policies and the management of a third-party HR partner on the administration of payroll and benefits.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment

Onboarding

Facilitates a seamless onboarding process for new hires, including orientation paperwork and introduction to company.

Payroll & Benefits

Working closely with a Professional Employment Organization (PEO), manage and sign- off bi-weekly payroll for all employees to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits, addressing discrepancies as needed.

Compliance & Recordkeeping

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies andpractices to maintain compliance.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and required licensures.

Employee Communications /Employee Relations

  • Creates and manages internal communication channels to keep employees informed.
  • Develop and distributes regular updates on HR related matters, fostering transparency and engagement.
  • Act as point of contact for employee and applicant inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

General HR Responsibilities

Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, engagement and training and development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field required.

At least 5 years of human resource experience preferred. SHRM-CP a plus.

Ability to quickly learn the HRIS and talent management systems.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
