Our client, a leader in the packaging industry, is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Setup professional to join their team in Lancaster. This role involves troubleshooting, removing jams, making adjustments, and setting up equipment to ensure smooth and productive operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining line productivity, assisting in material handling and machine operation duties, and effectively communicating with the tool room and maintenance departments. This position requires reading and interpreting drawings and written instructions, with occasional assignments to machine operation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Troubleshoot and remove jams, make mechanical adjustments to equipment, and perform quality checks.

- Change tooling, perform quality checks, and debug production lines.

- Assist in material handling duties, including clean-up, pallet and carton set-up, loading skids, banding loads, and delivering parts to the line.

- Operate machinery as needed, substituting for operators during inspections and assisting to maintain productivity.

- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including greasing, lubricating, and minor repairs on equipment.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Up to two years of relevant experience to develop necessary skills and knowledge.

- Proficiency with powered lift trucks, hand trucks, banding equipment, bench grinders, drill presses, and various hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

- Ability to read and interpret drawings and written instructions.

- Must provide basic hand tools
