In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise during the commissioning, implementation, and integration of manufacturing equipment. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that our manufacturing processes are optimized for efficiency, quality, and safety. Additionally, this position requires coverage or partial coverage for the second shift, as well as support for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of equipment.This team member will:Provide technical expertise during the commissioning, implementation, and integration of manufacturing equipmentSupport Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of equipmentTroubleshoot mechanical issues and provide solutions to ensure equipment operates efficientlyCollaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve equipment performanceDrive continuous improvement initiatives for manufacturing equipment to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve quality.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issuesEnsure compliance with all safety requirementsProficient with 3D CAD softwareCreate and maintain Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Understand and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principlesWork with external vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of equipment and materialsThe ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of these requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on manufacturing equipment3+ years of manufacturing equipment designStrong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and motion controlExperience 3D CAD packages and 2D drawingsExperience with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of equipmentFamiliarity with Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)Understanding of GD&T and its applicationExcellent problemsolving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teamsExperience with commissioning and startup of manufacturing equipmentAdditional preferred experience and/or qualifications:Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and motion controlExperience with production ramp-up and optimization of manufacturing processesExperience with automated equipment and roboticsAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 lbsPerform activities such as typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods of timeDedication to safety to mitigate hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead, high voltage, and cryogenicsWillingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally#LI-OnsiteCFS team members thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have demonstrated exceptional results through a range of different pursuits.
