Wurth Revcar Fasteners, Inc., a division of the Wurth Group, is seeking a highly motivated college graduate (Summer 2025) as a Business Development Specialist for their Roanoke, VA HQ.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Wurth Revcar's Business Development Specialist role is part of an 18-24 month entry-level program for recent college graduates. During this time, you will participate in a concentrated sales training program to provide the fundamental skills necessary to achieve a successful career in your next role at Wurth. As a Business Development Specialist, you will work closely with Wurth Revcar's National Sales Team by assisting with strategic prospecting efforts and extensive market research. In addition to a competitive starting salary and other company benefits, you will have the opportunity to learn from business leaders across the organization, deepening your industry knowledge through a structured learning environment.
YOU WILL:
- Identify potential customers using prospecting databases, social media, networking, and other methods.
- Vigorously pursue appointments with viable prospects and customers.
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to drive new opportunities and coordinate initial customer contacts and meetings.
- Stay steadfast and overcome objections to set initial appointments and move prospects through the sales cycle.
- Operate in a consistent manner that builds company brand awareness.
- Assist national sales team in the development of customer presentations.
- Prepare monthly customer status update reports and present to Senior Business Leadership.
- Maintain ongoing awareness of the competitive environment and other market conditions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations Management, and other Business-related fields, or equivalent experience
- Internship or sales experience, a plus
- High standard of professionalism and ethics
- Preferred style of teamwork, collaboration, and humility
- Self-starter, self-motivated, and ability to manage and drive own schedule
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and with written communications
- Effective persuasive skills and ability to overcome objections
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Fluency in German, a plus
