Working as a Guest Services Representative at Imaging Associates is a great opportunity to learn about all aspects of healthcare as we provide best-in-class radiology support for primary care, ENT, Ortho, Neuro etc Those serving in this position will be working with our radiologists, referring physician offices, and our radiology technologists to schedule subspecialized radiology exams on the most modern MRI, CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Mammography, PETCT and Fluoroscopy modalities in the state of Alaska

No experience required, looking for the right person who has the right aptitude and attitude Within a short time your knowledge of healthcare will increase exponentially serving as a great opportunity for career advancement into Imaging Associates management, radiology technologist, Nurse, Physician Assistant or a springboard into premedical school

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position with an opportunity to work 8-hour or 10-hour shifts to provide a balance of work and personal life. This position will perform patient scheduling and registration tasks including collecting co-pays and deductibles at time of service, and handling incoming calls for the practice.

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • 1+ years experience in a specialty medical practice preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Experience with medical pre-authorizations preferred.
  • Experience with multi-line telephone system, personal computers, and other common office equipment required.
  • Regular attendance is an absolute requirement of this position.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Job duties include:
  • Patient Scheduling: Accurately schedules all diagnostic procedures performed at the group practice. Explains pre-exam requirements and procedures.
  • Patient Registration: Accurately registers patients calling to schedule diagnostic procedures at the practice. Must be able to perform essential functions of registration.
  • Communications:Answers all incoming calls with a smile. Answers questions, refers calls to proper person or take messages.
  • Customer Service/Reception:Greets patients with a smile and treats each with respect and compassion. Demonstrates excellent customer service skills in all interactions with physicians, patients and practice personnel. Must be able to perform reception functions.


This is a full time, non-exempt position and is benefit eligible. Generous benefits include: medical, HSA, dental, life and vision insurances, PTO, paid holidays and 401k with Company Match.
