Job Overview The Director - Audit Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple financial, operational, compliance, and/or information technology (IT) projects across various teams. This role oversees audit activities, including planning, test design, and audit report preparation. Accountable for ensuring that projects are conducted in a timely, efficient, and thorough manner. Develop and maintain a skilled, high performing audit team through effective recruitment, training, and performance management. Build positive and value-added relationships with business unit clients and senior management. Able to present to all levels in the organization. Key Roles and Responsibilities:Participates in the development and implementation of the flexible risk-based annual audit plan.Identify and assess potential risks in organizational processes, controls, and systems to prioritize audit focus.Efficiently oversee multiple audit engagements simultaneously with diverse teams, guiding them in the development and execution of comprehensive audit plans, including ensuring appropriate staffing and approach for each project.Ensure teams collaborate with management to assess risks and identify process improvement opportunities.Manage and lead a team of staff at different levels with the ability to motivate, encourage and challenge them to provide high quality and value-added results.Accountable for meeting deadlines, as well as adhering to department and professional standards.Oversee preparation of reports and other deliverables for audit engagements and present key findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior municate professionally both in person and writing. Help resolve problems encountered by audit teams and provide appropriate solutions.Build and nurture productive working relationships with all stakeholders.Job Contribution:Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams.Effective communicator and analytical thinker who can employ logic and persuasion to influence with diplomacy and tact. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with all levels of the organization, while dealing with sensitive, difficult, or confrontational issues.Ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. Proactive, innovative, and intellectually curious individual who can partner and collaborate with others.Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in the work environment, while maintaining composure and a positive prehensive understanding of financial, operational, and IT auditing techniques and solid understanding of data analysis. Expertise understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley, Fraud Management, and Internal Control concepts.Ability to travel, typically not to exceed 10%.Education: Typically a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university.Experience: Typically requires 7+ years of experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Professional certification required. Prefer CPA, CIA, or CISA certification.Supervisor: YesOur Director - Audit Managers earn between $141,300 and $211,900.
