As a **litigation claims adjuster** in our Commercial Auto Liability Claims organization, youll manage complex, high exposure auto liability claims, determining the appropriate action for resolution. Youll have the opportunity to own litigated claims files from beginning to end including investigation, evaluation, and negotiation. Youll collaborate with customers, claimants and attorneys to determine coverage, liability and exposure. Working from a diary system youll provide clear and timely documentation of all activities through complete resolution of claims.

**Duties and responsibilities**

* Manage an average of 100 litigated cases at a time consisting of severe and complex bodily injury claims while handling new incoming claims

* Investigate, evaluate, negotiate all claims to resolution and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all payments

* Evaluate exposures and maintain accurate reserves on all files

* Keep claims files documented and updated

* Manage outside counsel and control expense

* Travel to mediations, arbitrations, and trials, as needed.

**Qualifications and preferred skills**

* Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

* Minimum of five years of mulit-state bodily injury claims experience

* Must have ability to maintain and obtain all necessary adjuster licenses

* Ability to develop strong business relationships to ensure high quality service

* Outstanding negotiation and communication skills

* Organizational skills and an ability to multitask

* Commercial litigation experience preferred

* Superior analytical skills and attention to detail
