  • Works closely with the BH Clinicians, BHA's, Peer Support Specialists, Case Managers, and SUD Counselors to ensure that client is properly enrolled in the appropriate BH programs based upon intake information.
  • Receives direction from the BH Clinical Director regarding clinical processes, programming, interview script(s), and expectations.
  • Works with clients and referral sources to secure referral documentation such as Court orders, service plans, discharge plans, treatment records, neuropsychological assessments, school assessments, OCS treatment plans, etc. Common referral sources include ASAP, adult probation, OCS, residential substance treatment agencies, medical staff, and KIBSD school counselors.

  • Works very closely with the Behavioral Health Eligibility Intake Specialist and is cross-trained in many of the tasks of that position to provide coverage when that person is out of office.
  • Identifies areas of improvement in the intake process and offers solutions in collaboration with the BH Director and the BH Eligibility Intake Specialist.
  • Advise BH Director of clients deemed urgent enough to bypass the waitlist and be referred to the Urgent Care Clinician.
  • Will use the urgent care criteria, as defined by the BH Director, to determine clients that need immediate psychotherapy sessions with a clinician without being placed on the waitlist.
  • Maintains positive attitude and welcoming customer service skills, treating all clients with the same integrity and respect, meeting the client where they are at and allowing adequate time for the client to process.
