Senior Mental Health Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mental Health Counselor to join our team at Providence Kodiak Alaska Mental Health Center. As a member of our inpatient psychiatric consult liaison service, you will demonstrate clinical expertise in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional psychiatric and substance abuse assessment, treatment, and discharge planning using a multidisciplinary approach.
- Coordinate care planning with team members and work with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop a realistic and timely post-hospital plan of care.
- Assist with implementation of educational processes to enhance knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for safe and effective medical care of behavioral health patients.
- Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Alaska licensure in a relevant field (e.g., Master's Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor).
- 2 years of clinical experience in behavioral health.
