Position PurposeThe E-Commerce Administrator supports the day-to-day operations of Black Stallion e-commerce retail. This position provides detailed administrative support and increases sales to the Black Stallion Direct to Consumer (DTC) department. The position also performs back-end ecommerce functions such product upload and management, product asset collection and website updates.
Functional Responsibility Essential Duties- Assists DTC Sales Manager with the implementation of ecommerce/marketing campaigns; this includes emailing lists, CRM, promotion building/promo codes, creating emails within the email platform, as well as following up with telephone outreach in conjunction with ecommerce promotions
- Assists in the analysis of data sets to uncover trends, patterns, and insights into customer behavior
- Monitors promotions for profitability and suggestions for new promotions, changes, or improvements
- Keeps up to date with ecommerce related technology and best practices
- Manages webstore and monitors all webstore orders for compliance; works with State Compliance team to resolve and complete quarantined orders
- Responds to all customer inquiries related to webstore orders and interacts with customers to resolve exceptions
- Collects assets and prepares products for upload to the website; this includes wine tasting notes, technical information about wines, images, pricing, cost of goods, and inventory
- Ensures product attributes are equal in all systems (admin and POS)
- Updates products as needed and ensures assets are ADA compliant and display correctly in product categories
- Maintains and optimizes product pages to stay current and consistent with other e-commerce channels
- Works with other departments such as Marketing, Creative Services, Winemaking and Cost Accounting for assets and information
- Notifies DTC Sales Manager when new assets are required and assists with collecting and creating new assets which may require working with outside vendors such as photographers, graphic and web designers
- Responds to all consumer communications and orders generated from email/marketing campaigns; processes email and telephone orders, answers inquiries, and resolves any related exceptions
- Communicates with new mailing list subscribers and new customers via auto-generated email campaigns or individual emails to develop relationships and increase sales
- Acts as the winery agent for online chat functionality on the website; responds to live chats and offline chats to answer questions or assist customers
- Works as a team member within all areas of the Black Stallion DTC department; assists when needed with wine club, shipping, credit card maintenance and DTC events

Minimum RequirementsEducation and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 3-5 years related experience in ecommerce and/or wine club
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Outstanding customer service skills and ability to work with the public
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ecommerce
- Strong analytical and organizational skills required
- Flexibility and ability to manage changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of web and ecommerce software and technology
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Intermediate to advance skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Word & Excel
- Must be 21 years of age
- General office environment with occasional travel
- Required to drive automotive vehicle or equipment
- Occasionally may be required to lift and carry cases of wine

California Pay Transparency Disclaimer: This is a Non-Exempt position. The pay range for this position is $18.46 to $28.86. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
