SUMMARY:

Prepares and delivers food to residents by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reads menu cards items to place on tray or serve at residents' tables
  • Places items such as eating utensils, naplcins, and condiments on tables or trays
  • Prepares food items such as sandwiches, salads, soups, and beverages
  • Apportions and places food servings on plates and trays according to choices on menu card
  • Examines filled tray for completeness and places on cart or table
  • Pushes carts, with dishes, supplies, and food, to halls or ward kitchen
  • Serves food to resident's tables
  • Collects and stacks dirty dishes on cart and returns cart to kitchen
  • Cleans dining room tables and chairs. Restocks condiments
  • Washes dishes and cleans work area, tables, cabinets, and ovens
  • Collects and places garbage and trash. in designated containers
  • Records amount and types of special food items served to residents
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    • Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
