The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement
  • Consistently analyze financial information based on both routine and ad-hoc reports
  • Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators
  • Communicate financial insights suggesting business issues to management
  • Proactively create opportunities for business process improvements
  • Deliver weekly / monthly financial close, planning, forecasting, and budgeting utilizing financial systems and Excel functions
  • Participate in various audits
  • Review, maintain, and reconcile fixed assets
  • Create monthly product margin analysis identifying performance drivers and variances against targets
  • Identify and prepare internal targeted cost analysis to support continuous improvement actions to drive higher margins across all product lines
  • Utilize solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver result, drive improvements, and influence leaders

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related
  • ~3 years similar experience
  • Familiarity with cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Understanding GAAP accounting principles
