Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and oversee all general ledger activities, ensuring precise and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and evaluate monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analyses.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and perform reconciliations.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes and controls, as well as compliance with external regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and facilitate the preparation and support of all external audits.
  • Develop and implement best practices for financial oversight and management.
  • Engage in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget formulation.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of invested assets in alignment with policies and investment strategies.
  • Review construction in progress (CIP) schedules to ensure accurate asset capitalization.
  • Provide strategic insights regarding capital financing options to support organizational growth.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with banking, insurance, and external accounting professionals to facilitate financial operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior accounting position within the construction sector.
  • Proven expertise in managing financials, entries, balance sheets, intercompany transactions, and construction accounting.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for continuous improvement and learning.
