ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assists in the day-to-day operations of accounting and finance in a fast-paced growing healthcare environment. Oversees the month-end close process and leads the accounting team to provide accurate and timely data. Oversees the preparation and review of forecasts, budgets, and financial statements. Provides support to the operations team so they can make timely, impactful decisions. Analyzes general ledger variances and suggests corrective action to meet financial objectives. Develops action plans, proposes efficiency improvements, and identifies opportunities for cost reductions for their division. Reviews revenue and expenses, analyzes financial data, prepares ad hoc reports, maintains internal controls and other best practices, and reports activity to internal and external stakeholders. Supervises and mentors accounting staff and seniors, including conducting performance evaluations, coordinating training programs, and identifying training needs. Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. Performs regular analysis of business outcomes vs prior period actuals and budget. Assists in the planning and implementation of various business processes in order to improve and support business processes and activities. Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to: the individual's skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certification requirements; office location and other geographic considerations; other business and organizational needs.
