They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team.

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships and assisting with other accounting tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Process and review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
  • Match purchase orders to invoices and verify receipt of goods/services
  • Enter and upload invoices into the accounting system
  • Prepare and perform check runs, ACH payments and wire transfers
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any payment issues
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and efficiency

Accounts Payable Specialist Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable processing a high volume of invoices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Experience with large ERP system (i.e. NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
