What You’ll Do: As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and operations of JCB’s new plant in San Antonio. Your responsibilities will include: Logistics Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive logistics strategies to support the operational needs of the new plant, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Develop transportation plans and schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize transportation costs. Utilize route optimization software to optimize delivery routes and consolidate shipments. Warehouse Operations Management: Oversee warehouse processes and collaborate with the operations team to ensure best practices in receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities. Implement measures with the warehouse team to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track logistics performance, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of logistics initiatives. What We’re Looking For: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain Manager who can thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The ideal candidate will have: Experience and Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management and logistics, preferably within a 3PL logistics consulting firm or global corporation. Consultative experience in logistics demonstrating a customer-centric mindset in direct customer engagements. Competence in creating written business case recommendations encompassing financial, service, risk, and sustainability factors. Operational Efficiency and Customer Service: Experience in managing large operations/customer service teams in the logistics sector. Understanding of legal and commercial frameworks related to contracts of carriage for air, FCL, LCL, intermodal transport, and international trade.
