Inventory Accounting Analyst GameChange Solar is one of the fastest growing, most dynamic companies in the rapidly growing utility scale solar industry. GameChange Solar is looking for an Inventory Accounting Analyst to assist with the inventory reconciliation, analysis and cycle count procedures. The ideal candidate will strike a balance between maintaining respectful relationships and leveraging strong analytical skills to ensure timely analysis of the Company’s inventory accounts. Inventory Accounting Analyst Responsibilities: Understand the impact of Inventory Accounting operations on multiple businesses depending on the transactions and information Review inventory variance against vendor balances, investigate root causes, and resolve inventory discrepancies through collaboration with other departments Work closely with Commodity managers to ensure inventory movements are properly reflected in the general ledger Work with vendors to improve quality of vendor inventory reports Perform regular vendor site visits to assess vendor’s effectiveness in inventory management and provide meaningful suggestions for improvement Monthly reconciliation, follow up of inventory variances and timely bookings of inventory adjustments Assist with cycle counts as required at the vendor locations Assist with annual audit Inventory Accounting Analyst Required Skills & Experience: Must have 3+ years of accounting experience with a concentration on Inventory Control or public audit Strong technical skills – Proficiency in US GAAP/IFRS Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple deliverables Proficiency in Excel Strong understanding of inventory accounting; minimum of 5 years of inventory experience Proficient in MS Office and use of databases Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) Exhibits professionalism and trustworthiness when speaking with vendors Strong problem-solving skills Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree is a plus Salary: $65k -$90k per year Business Office professional attire when in office setting. Job Type: Full-time Location: Houston, TX - Fully remote but will go to vendor locations periodically to review inventory levels and work through any exceptions.
