The Senior Supply Chain Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data, ensuring all transactions are recorded, verified, consolidated, and entered into the Subledgers and General Ledger.

This position entails overseeing the documentation of inventory and maintenance expenditures, generating comprehensive inventory reports, and ensuring that accounting practices comply with corporate policies, US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and IFRS standards where applicable.

The role serves as a key liaison between the Accounting, Inventory Supply Chain, and Maintenance Departments to guarantee precise and timely reporting of inventory and maintenance financial data.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct daily accounting tasks to ensure the timely completeness and integrity of financial information.
  • Oversee the entire accounting process within the assigned jurisdiction while upholding standardized practices, internal controls, and procedures.
  • Analyze variances, budgets, and forecasts, and perform accounting and reporting related to maintenance and inventory expenses.
  • Prepare month-end supply chain transactions and inventory reports utilizing material movement and accounting documents from SAP or RAMCO; analyze all inventory transactions thoroughly.
  • Facilitate monthly meetings with Maintenance Managers and Fleet Support to discuss financial performance.
  • Generate monthly management reports on Maintenance and Repair (M&R) expenses.
  • Conduct Global Inventory Reserve Analysis and coordinate Inventory Reserve Reviews with Management.
  • Manage Stock Write Down or Maintenance Expense Journals for Reserve and draft Inventory Reserve Memos for Management review.
  • Assist in developing a coordinated D&E process for new fleet types and update the Inventory Reserve fleet plan and model.
  • Participate in the monthly accounting close cycle, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and record recurring and nonrecurring journal entries.
  • Compile monthly inventory, maintenance, and other supply chain transactions and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement analysis, investigating variances in accounts.
  • Support the execution of SOX controls critical to the close process to ensure compliance with the company's accounting policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal process documentation.
  • Develop expertise in the company's financial reporting tools (Hyperion/OneStream) and general ledger and inventory accounting systems (SAP/RAMCO) to facilitate internal reporting.
  • Prepare schedules related to inventory and assist internal and external auditors with their inquiries.
  • Recommend updates to accounting policies concerning inventory to management.
  • Handle ad hoc requests, schedules, and reports as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience is essential, preferably within the energy services sector.
  • Experience with ERP General Ledger accounting systems, particularly SAP, is required.
  • Familiarity with legal entities and foreign currencies across international operations is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, especially as it pertains to inventory, is necessary.
  • Experience in a global, international organization is preferred.

SKILLS:
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office, with strong Excel capabilities.
  • Possess a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and investigative skills, with a commitment to identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies and reconciliations promptly.
  • Exhibit a willingness to take responsibility for resolving issues effectively.
  • Collaborative team player, ready to assist colleagues as needed, with an approachable demeanor.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating, summarizing, and presenting information clearly to diverse audiences.
