The role:

The Reputational Risk Senior Manager will report to the Enterprise Risk Management function and be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and oversight of SoFi's reputational risk management framework. The role will work closely with the first line of defense business units to identify, assess, and mitigate reputation risks that could impact the organizations' brand image and stakeholder trust. The role requires a strategic mindset, strong risk management expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do:

Develop and implement a comprehensive reputational risk management framework aligned with the organization's risk appetite and strategic objectives.

Conduct regular assessments of reputational risks, including analyzing internal and external factors that may influence the organization's reputation

Collaborate with business units to establish key indicators (KRI's) and metrics to monitor and report on reputational risk exposure.

Provide guidance and oversight on reputational risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation strategies across the organization.

Lead the development of crisis management plans and communication strategies to address reputational issues effectively

Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging risks that could impact the organization's reputation

Conduct training and awareness programs for employees on reputational risk management best practices and protocols

Work closely with senior management and the risk management team to ensure alignment of reputation risk management efforts with overall risk management strategies

Participate in cross-functional risk committees and working groups to enhance risk governance and promote a culture of risk awareness

Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership on reputation risk exposure, mitigation efforts, and key risk trends

What you'll need:

Bachelor's degree with 8+ Years in 2LOD risk management, compliance within the financial services industry

Knowledge of banking products, processes and regulations

Exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Strong leadership, collaboration, influencing and organizational skills with attention to detail

Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently or within a group under minimal daily direction.

Intellectually curious. You adapt to change, embrace bold ideas, ask questions, test assumptions, and challenge conventional thinking

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, develop innovative solutions, and make data-driven decisions

Experience leading and managing meetings with cross functional teams, effectively and efficiently communicating and driving engagement from the first line of defense.

Proficiency in data analysis and deriving meaningful insights for decision-making

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, take ownership of deliverables, and drive assigned tasks to completion, in a timely manner.

Strong knowledge of risk management principles and practices

Experience with regulatory compliance and corporate governance standards

Ability to work under tight deadlines

Ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to change

Strong team player

Exceptional data visualization skills

Nice to have:

Strong knowledge of applications such as Google Suite, Tableau, GRC/IRM systems and Microsoft Office products

Multi-lingual (Spanish)
