Responsibilities of the Sr. Accountant: Working with large reports, extracting data from relevant systems, analyzing the data and propose the relevant journal entry Performing relevant analytics and standard variance explanations using key metrics and relevant KPIs Complete month-end close tasks in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department Own certain workflow processes within the monthly/quarterly/annual operational accounting cycles Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance Review and reconcile inter-company accounts/transactions Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results Analyze financial information and summarize financial status Assist with external auditors in quarterly reviews and annual audits to ensure compliance Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX principles Liaise with GL Accounting, Finance and Operations leadership to improve financial close processes and procedures Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential Perform other corporate accounting tasks in accordance with the needs of the business Perform Ad-Hoc requests Qualifications for the Sr. Accountant: Bachelors Degree in Accounting required (Masters preferred) CPA preferred 5 years experience in industry accounting or 3 years of public accounting experience Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/quarter-end/year-end close process In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Experience with development and maintenance of internal controls in a public company environment Accuracy and attention to detail Advanced knowledge of Excel Strong problem solving and analytical skills Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment Familiarity with Intacct, Oracle, Concur, and/or Floqast is a plus About Digital Turbine: Digital Turbine (NASDAQ: APPS) powers superior mobile consumer experiences and results for the worlds leading telcos, advertisers and publishers.
