Summary

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele and build strategic partnerships. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. Previous experience with health and wellness companies is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Identifies and develops new business opportunities.

Builds and maintains relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, partners, and vendors.

Evaluates existing partnerships and sales efforts with an eye toward building on what works and changing what doesn’t.

Manages key client relationships and works to build new ones to meet client needs and offer solutions.

Expands the profile and reach of the company and its brands.

Leads sales, marketing, and client relationship management teams.

Develops and strengthens internal and external relationships that will lead to increased lead generation and market share.

Builds cross-functional teams to guide and nourish sustainable, long-term growth.

Identify and track emerging markets and trends.

Works with senior team members to identify and manage company risks that might prevent growth. Identifies and recommends new services.

Fulfill requests for proposals (RFPs) from potential partners and customers.

Help direct development of customer-facing web platforms and digital experiences.

Proposes and develops strategic partnerships. Prepare and deliver pitches and presentations to potential new clients. Translate proposals into ready-to-sign contracts.

Developing and presenting proposals customized for each client’s specific business needs.

Foster and maintain an entrepreneurial growth culture throughout the company and across all teams and work functions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field, MBA a plus

At least 5 years of experience in business, sales, marketing, or a related field

3-5 years’ supervisory or management experience, a plus

Experience in both the project management and sales side of running a business

Strong customer service and sales skills for generating leads

Advanced presentation and persuasive skills

Excellent leadership and teamwork skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building meaningful relationships with clients

Extensive knowledge of productivity tools and software

Attention to detail and organization skills for honing in on each necessary task

Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office suite

Track record of successful contract negotiation, client retention, and business growth

Positive attitude and willingness to learn and bring forth new ideas

This position is a part-time position.
