Job Description The Corporate Audit Services Senior Auditor is primarily responsible for completing audit engagement assignments with minimal supervision from the audit team management. The Senior Auditor is expected to understand risk and risk management techniques, identify and analyze business processes, key risks and critical controls, and evaluate control design adequacy; perform or supervise control testing; and document work performed in conformance with internal audit policies and procedures. Responsibilities include: Assisting the audit team management in planning audit engagements, which includes understanding risk and risk management techniques, identifying and analyzing business processes, key risks and critical controls, interviewing auditees, performing/leading walkthrough discussions, and evaluating control design adequacy. Performing appropriate sampling and control testing techniques; identifying and assessing the relevancy of possible issues; and documenting work performed to support audit scope/conclusions. Drafting audit issues under the supervision of the audit team management, which includes drafting potential exposures and significance, identifying appropriate root causes, and developing recommendations that are operationally effective and cost-effective. Assisting the audit team management in the reporting and wrap-up phases of audits, including assisting with drafting audit reports. Learning from and applying coaching received. Performing other duties as requested by management, which may include administrative duties in continuous monitoring meetings and updating internal records within the system of record for audit issues and auditable entities. Preferred Skills/Experience: Three or more years of experience in internal auditing, public accounting, or other relevant experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Intermediate experience with data analytics and applying data analytic techniques in audit testing. Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications. Financial Service Industry knowledge related to corporate governance, marketing, philanthropy, analytics, strategy, and reputation risk management. Thorough understanding of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards. CIA, CPA or other relevant professional designation or advanced degree. The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, with an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
