Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the company's day-to-day accounting operations, including the maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
  • Work closely with our private equity partners and external auditors to ensure that financial statements are prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Manage the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and analysis.
  • Prepare monthly sales and use tax returns and quarterly payroll tax returns.
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and forecasting.
  • Coordinate annual external audits and manage relationships with auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance and support to the accounting team and other departments on accounting-related matters.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or equivalent certification.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a senior accounting role.
  • Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Experience in the construction industry and with job costing preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work well in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
