The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis. They will also assist in the development and implementation of new and existing accounting programs, systems, and processes.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field and at least five years of progressive experience in accounting. They will also possess expert knowledge of accounting and auditing laws, regulations, and policies.

The OCFO offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, retirement, and educational assistance. The Office of the Chief Financial Officer is an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate recordation of agency Fixed/Capital assets in the system
  • Create financial reports
  • Recommend management action when analysis indicates a trend that could lead to an underpayment or overpayment for services provided
  • Develop internal controls which provide alternatives and/or solutions to improve operating program effectiveness and efficiency and resolving complex audit adjustment issues presented by the independent auditors and Office of Inspector General
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • At least five years of progressive experience in accounting
  • Expert knowledge of accounting and auditing laws, regulations, and policies
