As a Geotechnical Engineer within the Geotechnical group for Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc. (CEC) , you'll be responsible for geotechnical subsurface investigations related to site civil (building foundations, cut and fill slopes, retaining walls, landslides, and pavements), as well as construction materials testing services for commercial and landfill projects. You will coordinate or monitor subsurface drilling, obtain soil and rock samples, prepare boring logs, develop laboratory testing programs, interpret laboratory data, perform geotechnical analyses and prepare detailed geotechnical reports. Projects will primarily be for commercial, retail, institutional, energy, and industrial clients. This role will also include construction materials testing and project duties will include concrete, foundation, masonry and pavement construction testing.

Qualifications
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering (M.S. in Geotechnical Engineering preferred);
  • 2+ years' of consulting Geotechnical Engineering experience;
  • Ability to speak and write professionally;
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the desire to learn quickly and succeed professionally;
  • E.I.T. or P.E. strongly preferred.
