What You Will Do:
The Military Engines Sustainment Quality team is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer who is energetic and motivated to conduct process and product audits, initiate and manage Quality Notifications, manage the Quality Clinic, initiate continual improvement initiatives, modify/generate quality documents and review/approve first article inspection documentation.
- Demonstrate a high level of customer focus, business judgment and teamwork.
- Communicate with various levels of management to identify Military Engines supplier quality risks and mitigation plans.
- Collect and analyze process data to minimize workflow disruptions and eliminate nonconformances/escapes.
- Collaborate with all levels of PW and Customer personnel to ensure compliance to requirements.
- Review and approve supplier First Article Inspections (FAI).
- Lead and conduct quality system, process, and product audits; update HQMS system and issue corrective actions as required.
- Assist in the development of the annual audit schedule and support 3rd party audits as required.
- Actively work within the SAP system to process/close out quality notifications (QN), research component/module history and identify service master activity.
- Facilitates supplier quality issues through monitoring / escalation processes, escape management and processing of supplier submission of non-conforming material.
- Facilitate investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions while preventing future recurrence.
- Lead and/or support process improvement initiatives to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Generate and modify applicable quality controlled documentation to ensure processes and requirements are clearly defined.
- Customer satisfaction; Identify and assist all stakeholders with product deficiencies and resolution.
- Analyze data and generate key performance metrics to accurately assess supplier health, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
- Ability to travel as required (up to 35%).
- First Article Inspection (FAI) experience.
- CORE / Lean Six Sigma Experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Ability to interface with internal and external customers.
- DAISE - minimum CORE Champion is a plus (or lean six sigma green/black belt).
- Engineering/Technical Skill.
- Jet Engine Manufacturing/Assembly/Overhaul experience.
- Regulatory for requirements and System Procedures Skills.
- MS Office proficiency: Excel and PowerPoint required.
- The ability to read and comprehend work instructions, quality manuals, and other detailed instructions.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
