Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at Safran. As a key technical leader, you will be responsible for working with suppliers, contract manufacturers, design engineering, operations, and supply chain to select qualified suppliers and improve supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quality audits and non-conformity management to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Work autonomously to prioritize workload, assess escalation needs, and find and evaluate risks within the supply chain.
  • Develop and implement long-term solutions to improve supplier performance and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently to meet business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supplier quality discipline, with a strong understanding of quality systems methods and practices.
  • Excellent problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet, database, presentation, and project management tools, including Excel, Minitab, and SAP.
  • Ability to read and understand assembly drawings, schematics, block diagrams, and Engineering Change Notices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in supplier quality discipline, with Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Technical background in design office, engineering, composite materials, or industrialization.
  • Knowledge of products and manufacturing processes, with a strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing equipment.
