The Manager, Finance – FP&A

will support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process as well as budgeting and forecasting cycles for the Writing business unit globally. They will additionally conduct financial analysis providing the necessary support to deliver solid financial results and business analytics for the segment through permanent interaction with multiple regional and functional stakeholders. This position reports to the Senior Manager, FP&A – Learning and Development Segment.

Specific Responsibilities Work with regional teams to explain and interpret key drivers of monthly performance Provide detailed analysis of core sales, gross margin, A&P, and overhead trends by analyzing comparisons to the prior year, annual operating plan, and last estimate Partner with cross functional teams to develop sales and gross margin walks and commentary Coordinate and consolidate the rolling forecast to monitor and provide early visibility of changes in business trends to the Senior Manager of FP&A and segment CFO Evaluate working capital forecasts from the regional teams Assist in the preparation of balance sheet and income statement analytics Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities to increase productivity that optimizes data efficiency and quality Ad hoc financial analysis projects and report preparation (frequent) Assist in the preparation of presentations and reporting decks for business reviews, monthly reporting and others as required The Candidate Key Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or CMA preferred 5 years of combined experience in finance/accounting related fields Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP/Hyperion is a plus Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Self-starter with the ability to handle many tasks simultaneously and properly prioritize responsibilities.
