Responsibilities:

  • Supervise two Senior Accountants and support property operations and asset management for specific portfolios
  • Oversee month-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and financial statement reviews
  • Manage expense and income accruals for real estate taxes, Common Area Maintenance (CAM) recovery, tenant recoveries, parking, etc.
  • Prepare variance analyses and ensure accuracy of financial statements
  • Assist with onboarding new property acquisitions and ensure accurate reporting
  • Oversee quarterly general ledger account reconciliations and manage sales/use tax filings
  • Act as liaison for audits and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
  • Handle various projects and additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA required
  • 6+ years of commercial property accounting experience; knowledge of retail properties is a plus
  • 2-3 years of management experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with attention to detail
  • Experience with JD Edwards software preferred
  • Located in North Bethesda, MD; must be able to go in office at least 3x a week
