Summary: In this role, you'll serve as a trusted resource across various East West Family of Companies operations, combining HR generalist duties and first-line employee relations support. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our HR department, supporting our employees and managers, and driving key HR initiatives.

The Senior HR Generalist supports the Human Resources department for the East West Family of Companies, including East West Hospitality, East West Partners, & Slifer Smith, & Frampton, in various locations throughout CO, SC, UT, CA, and HI. Position is based in Avon, CO.

Responsibilities:

  • General HR Support: Provide day-to-day HR assistance, including accurate and efficient processing and retention of HR paperwork, respond to employee and manager inquiries, manage workers' compensation and unemployment, support leave programs, ensure excellence in onboarding, and support compliance efforts.
  • Manager Support: Partner with managers on recruiting, performance management, documentation, coaching, disciplinary issues, and employee engagement.
  • HR Team Support: Indirectly oversee the Tahoe HR Generalist; provide corporate support to local HR teams across EWH; support with acquisitions and divestitures.
  • Employee Experience and Recognition: Manage Sabbatical program, drive recognition programs for identified divisions, and collaborate continually on methods of increasing engagement and retention.

Location: Primarily on-site in Avon, CO; some hybrid potential.

Employment Type: Full Time, Year Round

Pay Rate: $30-$35 / hour DOE

Schedule: Monday - Friday, typically 9am-5pm

Minimum Requirements

Experience: 2-4 years experience and / or training in most or all the above functions is required; General Human Resources experience in property management, Resort or Spa environments strongly preferred; Guest service and office administrative experience strongly preferred.

Education: Some college preferred; SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.

Skills: Superior time-management skills; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal skills; Ability to work and solve problems independently; Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn additional systems.
