The Human Resources Generalist will support internal teams by handling employee relations, compliance, and safety functions.


Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities:

  • Interpret, explain, and monitor the administration of policies and procedures.
  • Uphold company policies and provide support to employees with questions, concerns, resources, or recommendations for further training.
  • Help managers and staff with difficult questions and issues. Handle routine tasks in sensitive situations, like making accommodations, investigating wrongdoing, and investigations.
  • Respond to unemployment claims.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Serve as a backup to the onboarding process for internal and external candidates.
  • Support internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.


Human Resources Generalist Requirements:

  • A college degree in the human resources field is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR or business administration.
  • 3+ years of safety and workers’ compensation claim management experience.
  • Proven experience handling complex employee relations issues.
  • Multi-state compliance experience preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing projects, calendars, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Proficiency in computer software programs, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
