DESCRIPTION:
As an Estimator - JOC at WDF Inc., reporting to Lead Estimator / VP JOC Operations you will have the opportunity to:
Provide and/or coordinate full estimating services on large, complex work and all types of contracts
Reviewproposalspecifications,drawings,attendpre-bidmeetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
Providecompleteconceptual(orbidwork)andfinalestimating input on complex projects
Providetechnicalsupporttopersonnelpreparingdiscipline estimates for assigned bids
Insureallworkingdocumentsanddataaremaintainedtoback-up estimate figures
Assistcontractingdepartmentduringpreparationofinquiriesand final evaluation of submitted bids as required
Track awarded contracts as required - may include estimating/pricingextraworkitems,changeorders,credit;procuring materials, etc
Performadditional assignments per supervisors direction
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar from an accredited institution and 5+ years of relevant experience as an Estimator. Advanced degree desired
Experience working on NYC Metro area construction projects is required. Experience working with public NYC agencies is desired
Experience working on multiple projects and with various clients at the same time is required
Candidate needs to have Job Order Contracting (JOC) experience or experience working on Unit Price projects in NYC public sector
Candidates must have worked for small local and regional contractors that focus on smaller projects or renovation and/or tenant improvement work
Extensive construction industry experience working in public sector is a plus
Candidates must also have strong computer skills and be proficient with estimating software
Excellent written and verbal skills
The salary range for this position is between $87,000 and $168,000 depending on experience
