The North Dakota CPA Society is seeking a motivated, collaborative marketing professional to manage our continuing education and conference program. This position also manages our website and social media.

As the Marketing and Event Planner for the Society you will enjoy a flexible, family-friendly position that provides health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, 3 weeks paid vacation and participation in a SIMPLE IRA plan. We value lifelong learning There is availability for some out of state travel to training programs. This is an onsite position but there is the opportunity for some hybrid work.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and writing skills. Candidates should be tech savvy and able to manage multiple projects while maintaining attention to detail.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

Event Planning and Continuing Education Support:

  • Arranging and managing all details of our conferences and events including but not limited to session planning, speaker selection and coordination, facility selection, contract negotiations, facility logistics (F&B, A/V, etc) and material creation (nametags, evaluations, handouts, etc). Examine and authorize all CPE-related payments
  • Arranging and managing all details of our virtual conferences and events.
  • Creating and maintaining budgets for all education events
  • Manage closing out of conferences, including evaluation review and follow-up, assigning CPE credit, reconciling attendance and issuing certificates.
  • Facilitating committees and task forces to develop subject matter for education programs.
  • Manage the processing of registrations, confirmations, cancellations, refunds.

 Marketing:

  • Developing marketing plans for events as well as membership.
  • Creating graphics and video for events and member engagement.
  • Promoting membership throughout the year; assisting with annual campaigns.
  • Website maintenance and aesthetics.

 REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, communication, education, or similar area or 5+ years of related experience.
  • Skilled in planning, project management, communication, diplomacy, dealing with multiple simultaneous activities.
  • Impeccable integrity and strong stewardship of resources.
  • Education or experience in accounting, nonprofit organizations, advocacy and social media is helpful.
  • Some travel is required.

 OUR OFFICE

The Society is a state association of 1700 Certified Public Accountant members and students. Our activities include educational conferences, advocacy efforts, student outreach, and member recruiting. We also operate a scholarship foundation. The office is statewide in scope but based in Grand Forks. We provide a pleasant work environment, good equipment, and current technology. We are a small but creative and effective staff Benefits include paid leave, health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, a retirement plan, plus opportunity for education and growth. Salary is based on experience with a starting range of $45 - 60k.

This is a full-time position. Office hours are from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Monday – Friday.
