With trading cards and collectibles being a significant pillar of Fanatics’ long-term plans to become the leading global digital sports platform, Fanatics Collectibles, a subsidiary of Fanatics, was launched in 2021 after securing long-term, exclusive rights to design, manufacture and distribute trading cards for several sports properties, including MLB, MLBPA, NBA, NBPA and NFLPA. Fanatics is the majority owner of Fanatics Collectibles, with leagues, players associations and investors owning the rest. In January 2022, Fanatics Collectibles announced the acquisition of Topps, the preeminent licensed trading card brand that has serviced collectors, fans, and retailers for more than 70 years. The deal, which included both the Topps physical and digital divisions, established the iconic trading cards company as the cornerstone of Fanatics’ trading cards and collectibles business and jumpstarted its MLB and MLBPA rights to design, manufacture and distribute trading cards, which begin in 2022 versus the original joint start date of 2026. In February 2022 (with subsequent investments in December 2022 and January 2024), Fanatics Collectibles acquired GCP. GCP specializes in converting, finishing, collating and packaging services for sports trading cards and other collectibles. The Opportunity: This role will be reporting to the Senior Director of Finance. This high-profile team directly supports both the Direct-to-Consumer (E-Commerce) and Wholesale businesses for the Topps Sports & Entertainment division by leading the budgeting/forecasting process, management reporting, and strategic planning activities. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop your finance and analysis skills, while supporting a fast-growing business. Job Functions: Assist with the forecasting process and own portions of the financial forecast models, including P&L, cash flow, and supporting schedules/analyses. Ensure their quality, timeliness, and accuracy Maintain financial models to support sales forecast and product profitability analysis Assist with the preparation of Senior Management presentations/meetings (Monthly Business Reviews, Board of Directors meetings, forecast review meetings, etc.) Develop and maintain key metric reporting and ad-hoc analyses which includes but not limited to daily sales, manufacturing KPI’s, and vendor analyses Assist in month-end close process and analyze actual performance vs. plan, prior year, and current forecast Support the creation of the annual and multi-year strategic plan Identify and develop process efficiencies and automation to create standardized, efficient and repeatable processes Support Commercial Finance Managers for ad-hoc requests and decision-support analysis Professional Experience/Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, and planning for an operational unit or in a corporate finance setting is required Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in finance or accounting Experience with ERPs and warehouse management systems (Oracle, Visual, WMS) is preferred Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, and modeling skills required Ability to work with and analyze large amounts of data This role is onsite M-F in the Sunnyvale manufacturing location
