Principal Product Quality Engineer Company Description QST is one of the leading providers of sensor solutions for a wide array of mobile consumer electronic devices including, but not limited to, smartphones, tablets, wearables, and AR/VR headsets. QST has over a hundred technologists and engineers worldwide working on innovative designs to put the best sensors in our customers’ products. Job Description This position for a Principal Product Quality Engineer to support new product development. The candidate will be a primary interface between design teams and internal/external manufacturing teams. Responsibilities: Working with IC design teams to define the product requirements. Ownership of specific products from feasibility stage to high volume production. Working with external OSATs. Working with wafer assembly, fab, and die prep module engineering teams to establish product manufacturing flows. Coordinating closely with quality/reliability, materials development, internal and external silicon integration, fabs, and OSATs on specific materials needs and supply-chain issues and logistics. Managing engineering build planning, forecasting, execution including daily troubleshooting. Leading cross-functional teams as needed to resolve product and integrated process issues. Reliability qualification and product release to mass production. Requirements: Minimum experience 5 years (or MS and 3 years) in semiconductor technology BS Degree Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in Silicon Validation and Product Engineering of ASICs/MEMS, including analysis of data from manufacturing Automated Test Equipment (ATE), bench and system functional tests. Experience with scripting, data collection/analysis, debug, and resolution. Knowledge of ATE and DFT design and operation. Strong OSAT project management and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation). Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners and manufacturing processes. Experience with Failure Analysis and Yield Enhancement. Preferred Experience: Experience with PCB design tools is highly desirable. Experience with SQL is highly desirable. Experience with LGA and QFN multi-die packaged MEMS sensor products is helpful. Experience with ATE and wafer probe testing. Experience with Design of Experiments for optimization of MEMS sensors.
