Job Title: Business Development Account Manager

Our principals provide innovative technical component-level solutions. As we expand our market presence, we seek a motivated and results-driven Business Development Account Manager to join our team.

Job Description: As a Business Development Account Manager, you will be pivotal in driving sales growth and fostering strong client relationships. You will be responsible for generating new sales opportunities, supporting monthly sales meetings, maintaining, and expanding our contact list, championing the client's requirements, developing a P&L that supports positive cash flow, ensuring proper record-keeping and organization, and contributing to annual and five-year planning initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ Years of account management/sales executive, engineering, or program management experience in the Automotive Industry
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales Desired.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Positive Attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Key Responsibilities:

Generate New Sales:

  • Meet annual sales goals by maintaining regular sales contacts at customer and principal locations, cultivating outstanding relationships to achieve sales targets.
  • Travel and entertain as required to meet sales goals.
  • Prospect and identify new opportunities as outlined in annual goals.
  • Prepare RFQs and cost breakdowns and ensure proper filing in SharePoint.

Support Monthly Sales Meetings and Update Data:

  • Update and review line-item monthly sales data, ensuring proper commissions for each Principal.
  • Update 30-day goals and Quote log.
  • Maintain monthly updates on Booked Business, both production and capital.
  • Prepare and contribute to every monthly sales meeting and lead one to two sales meetings.

Maintain/Expand Contact List:

  • Regularly update contact lists to facilitate communication with existing and new customers.

Champion Responsibility by Principal:

  • Keep Principal presentations current and properly filed.
  • Lead and inform the team monthly to ensure the latest information at each Principal.
  • Foster relationships with all key personnel and support timely resolution of open commercial issues.

Management personal P&L:

  • Manage entertainment budget to support relationship development.
  • Meet travel and other expenses required to develop business.

Proper Record Keeping, Computer Skills, and Organization:

  • Maintain organized Outlook files and One Drive organization for efficient data retrieval.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Drive, Teams, Outlook).

Annual/5-Year Planning:

  • Forecast line items annually for 1- & 5-year periods.
  • Establish Annual Goals & Objectives to support business growth.
  • Develop SWOT Analysis annually for all significant accounts assigned.
