Job Description

Senior APD Project Manager

We are looking for a talented Automotive Product Development (APD) Program Manager Sr. to join our team specializing in new product-project management for our company. This is a hybrid role, however, there is a 2-3 day in-office requirement. Candidates can be located in Nashville, TN, Cookeville, TN, or Stoughton, WI or be able to travel to one of our locations 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities

Provides overall leadership and management of small scope and impact APD program(s) that meet the needs of our customers and business. Leads APD program(s) with small business impact from inception to completion. Defines tangible and measurable customer expectations and business outcomes and leads the program(s) to achieve both. Determines the scope, schedule, and resources with key cross functional, cross-business units, and external stakeholders. Obtains stakeholder commitment and approval of the program contract. Coaches and develops peer program manager(s) and/or program leader(s). Adopts and shares best practices.
  • Project Issue and Risk Management - Manages the process to identify, assess and prioritize issues and risks using recommended tools and processes to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of negative events or to maximize the realization of positive events.

Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications
  • College, university, or equivalent degree required.
  • Project Management training and/or experience preferred.
  • New Product Development training and/or experience preferred.
Experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant New Product Development experience. Experience with Automotive Product Development (ADP) process, highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Power BI and the ability to interpret and create customer reports required.
  • Ability to manage a global cross-functional team(s) to achieve project goals without direct supervisory responsibility of key resources.
  • Ensure project portfolio management (PPM) information is complete and accurate for all projects and coach others in using PPM.
  • Previous experience leading new or large product projects, preferred.
  • Serving as a core team member of a new product project previously, preferred.
  • Training in APD Common Process, as well as Project Management preferred.
  • 4-6 combined years' experience in Manufacturing Supply Chain/Quality and/or technical engineering preferred.


Note: Alternate work locations will be considered, they include- Nashville, TN, Cookeville, TN, or Stoughton, WI.

Base salary range: $100,000 to $150,000

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate's qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
