The Catering Client Service Assistant is a critical role at Fresh City Kitchen (FCK). They are the voice and face of FCK for our client's day-to-day needs and requests. You will work directly with clients planning new orders, answering questions, and building relationships. What Winning In This Role Looks Like: We are looking for someone who embodies hospitality, loves seeing others have outstanding experiences, and will do whatever it takes to ensure they deliver that to our clients

  • Absolutely loves the nitty-gritty details, reviewing menu accuracy, inputting adjustments at a rapid pace, and providing real-time support to clients and our internal operations team simultaneously.
  • Excited to own the efficient and accurate entry of 100+ catering orders weekly.
  • Enjoys talking to clients multiple times daily via inbound phone calls and emails.
  • Quickly becomes a menu expert. With a combination of training and your own curiosity, you continually observe and learn the inner workings of our always-evolving menu. You develop into a go-to knowledge base for clients and team members for current menu information.
  • Sets the example for organization company-wide. You must gain energy from being organized, and helping others become more organized.
  • Enjoys tracking down information where there is a missing link. Wired to finish, close the loop, and push through the messy details to ensure accuracy and excellent customer service.
  • Possesses a natural feel for the absolute right delivery of communication when answering calls or responding to clients via email. Shows the ability to adjust to the context of a situation with the appropriate wording and tone.
  • Feels strongly about taking the time to label and organize orders with the appropriate allergy and dietary information to ensure guests know what common allergens may be present in their meals.
  • Confident, kind, and honest. Never rude, pushy, or condescending. Not scared to ask clients and team members for clarification to ensure accuracy.
  • Thrives working in an office setting on a computer, handling fast-paced inbound phone calls and emails.

  • 1+ years of experience in an administrative or customer service-oriented role.

  • Strong experience with the Google Suite of applications, including high efficiency with spreadsheets, and some Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with the catering/restaurant industry is preferred.
  • Spoken and written knowledge of Spanish is a plus
Schedule:
  • This is an in-office position at our Brighton, MA location. However, we are open to exploring a hybrid or remote first arrangement for the right candidate
  • Generally, the hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday Through Friday
•(Occasional shifts in hours may be requested with notice based on time of year and business volume)

•(Some flexibility in start and end times exists to accommodate personal and family needs)
