Security Clearance Intake Specialist (Active Secret Clearance) Advanced Decision Vectors, LLC (ADV) was established in 2009, providing superior program management, program support, strategic planning, and systems engineering to the Federal and Commercial sectors. Located in Alexandria, Virginia, ADV is a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) contractor with roots in the Department of Defense and support agencies. Our prime client, The Peace Corps, Office of Safety and Security, Information & Personnel Security (IPS) Office , conducts personnel security background checks and adjudication of all Peace Corps staff and contractors to determine security clearance suitability for access to Peace Corps facilities and network systems. We are seeking a Security Clearance Intake Specialist to initiate and ensure accurate and timely processing of security clearance cases and maintain appropriate documentation on granting of security clearances. Location of this role is at Peace Corps HQ (1275 First Street NE, Washington, DC 20526). If you have previous experience supporting intelligence community agencies such as the CIA, FBI, or similar organizations, please note that the Peace Corps cannot accept your candidacy due to their corporate policies and guidelines. Assignment location: 2 days telework and 3 days client location. We are prime for this 5-year contract through 9/2027. Due to client requirements, a successful credit check and drug test will be required prior to starting the role. Responsibilities include: Recent experience in initiating government security clearances using systems such as e-QIP/e-APP, NBIS, and CVS is a requirement. Initiate Public Trust and National Security Clearance Investigations and other employee and contractor background investigations for the Peace Corps in e-App (former e-QIP) on NBIS. Provide access to selectees and serviced employees to the e-QIP system and ensure completion. Monitor the status of background investigations, update the case management system, PCCATs, as appropriate, and handle returned investigations. Provide appropriate forms, answer questions, and present issues to Personnel Security Specialists for resolution. Assist Personnel Security Specialists regarding suitability factors and completion of investigative forms. Utilize USAccess and DCSA systems for preparing packages for vetting of candidates. Update and assist with data scrubbing within the PCCATs case management system. Assist in enrollments into Continuous Evaluation and Rapback. Ensure compliance with NIST and Federal policies and procedures. Recommend and develop new procedures to enhance the personnel security program. Maintain and provide statistical reports related to security as needed. Required Experience: An active Secret clearance or higher is required. Candidates must have recent experience initiating clearances through NBIS, e-QIP/e-APP, and CVS. 2+ years of work experience . Strong attention to detail and communication skills. Willingness to submit an OF-306 “Declaration for Federal Employment” form. Additionally, recent systems experience with: Ability to manage the e-QIP/e-App initiation and review functions. Comprehensive working knowledge of personnel security program regulations, policies, and procedures. Ability to analyze and evaluate security information and recommend changes. Knowledge of Federal security laws and regulations. Knowledge of USAccess system for preparing documents. Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with customers.
