Security Clearance Specialist III

Job Description:

This position is a critical component of Amentum's personnel security process, requiring a high degree of expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigation and Analysis: Conduct thorough investigations and analyze various FBI investigative files and related material to determine and extract relevant information.
  • Interviews and Security Briefings: Conduct Personnel Security Interviews (PSIs) and security briefings, discussing analysis and opinion in a concise, logical, and objective manner.
  • Report Writing and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and documentation, including Reports of Investigation and security clearance documentation.
  • Database Searches and Record Checks: Perform database searches and record checks, utilizing various Federal LE and IC IT systems and commercial database systems.
  • Adjudication and Recommendations: Assist in making recommendations for adjudication of personal background investigations for employment with the FBI and/or issuance of a security clearance.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with five years of experience in the personnel security investigative or investigative analyst field, or an Associate's degree with seven years of experience.
  • Clearance and Citizenship: Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance and be a US citizen.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office software applications, and experience with various Federal LE and IC IT systems and commercial database systems.
